]]><![CDATA[Maine Vacation Week | Personal Post | johnna brooke photography ]]>Fri, 24 Feb 2012 12:16:14 -0800http://www.johnnabrooke.com/4/post/2012/02/maine-vacation-week-personal-post-johnna-brooke-photography.htmlI feel so fortunate to live in such a beautiful place. I try very hard to get out and explore my little corner of the world with my children as often as I can. All of my boys love being outside, but my middle son is in love and obsessed with nature and going on hikes. He has such a big imagination and really loves to explore. I am always amazed at what we discover during our jaunts.

This week was vacation week and we managed several hiking outings in our hood. We heard a fox, saw a weasel on the beach, counted birds, looked for animal footprints, picked up drift wood, collected sea glass, blew milk weed pods, and totally took advantage of the crisp fresh air and near 50 degree temperatures. We also hit some playgrounds and my oldest son played lacrosse everyday!

Yes, we were busy. We loved being outside. And, I loved hanging with my boys in our hood.

I wish that when I was pregnant with my boys that I had someone photograph my belly. It is one of my biggest regrets, so when I get an opportunity to photograph a pregnant goddess, I jump! I love bellies and I love making pregnant women feel special and beautiful.

You might recognize this couple, as I also photographed their wedding. Take a look here and here. They are a wonderful couple and I so enjoy being around them.

Below are some photos from our session. I can't wait to get my hands are their little bundle of joy, too! Hope to come full circle and add some photos of their new addition very soon.

Yeah, they just happened to have a box of pizza in the frig…thought it would make a great last shot and provide this wonderful couple with a laugh or two! Did I mention that I love this couple? Oh, and I couldn't keep their first baby from the session - Skeeter, he's a good dog.

I have photographed these two little ones a couple times before and every single time I totally love editing their photos. They are extremely beautiful children and their personalities just shine through in their photographs.

Below are a couple of my favorites from their family session. I am also including an outtake that will surely become a family favorite in the years to come.

]]><![CDATA[I Guess I Am A Campaign Manager - Got Cooper?]]>Wed, 01 Feb 2012 14:32:03 -0800http://www.johnnabrooke.com/4/post/2012/02/so-i-am-a-campaign-manager-got-cooper.htmlCooper is running for Student Council and he needed a campaign slogan, posters, handouts and a speech! Well, we put our heads together and came up with the Got Cooper? Campaign!

Got Cooper? Get Cooper. Vote Cooper! He Does Student Council Good. (Yeah, I know it is not proper English but…)

It was actually his idea! Seriously, it was his idea. He thought of it because of a Sports Illustration Got Milk Ad! Some NFL Player was featured and he thought it was COOL! I thought it was pretty cool, too.
